Educational work

In our childcare facility, we create an environment that meets the children's need for activity and independent action. In the sense of the holistic approach, we see the children as explorers and discoverers who take in their environment with all their senses, let it affect them and make it their own.

A constant, trusting bond, support and security enable them to actively engage with their environment. On the basis of a positive relationship, we accompany our children in their educational process. Our vision is that all Bullerbü children encounter the world with curiosity and strength and actively help to shape it.

Today's living conditions are mediatised and we as a day care centre see ourselves as an antipole to this stimulus-flooded world. The basis of our daily work is to meet the child's need for holistic comprehension and physical-sensual appropriation. For us, active action takes precedence over passive consumption. We offer the children the opportunity to gather as many different experiences as possible. For us, free, independent play is the most important thing.

Catering

In our kitchen, our cook prepares three fresh meals for the Bullerbü children every day with the support of our housekeeper: breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. The fixed meals, accompanied by rules and rituals, give the children orientation in the daily routine. We have also assigned a specific dish to each day of the week (e.g. pasta day, veggie day). The children decide for themselves what and how much to eat.

Lunch is prepared by our kitchen team according to a balanced nutrition plan based on the "food pyramid" and "5 a day (fruit & vegetables)". We take cultural, religious or individual specialities (e.g. intolerances) into account as far as possible.
