Location
The student residence "Simmerner Straße" is located in the Karthause district of Koblenz, near the RheinMoselCampus of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences (approx. 500 meters). The campus of the University of Koblenz in the Metternich district is approx. 5 kilometers away. In the immediate vicinity there is a small shopping center with two supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, etc. The Koblenz city forest with its hiking and mountain bike routes can be easily reached on foot or by bike from the student residence.
Connection
The bus stops "Hochschule/Schulzentrum" and "Bundesarchiv" (each line 2/12) are located near the student residence. From there you can reach the main train station and the city centre in about 10 to 20 minutes. The VRM (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel) lines 615, 620 and 621 also depart from the "Hochschule/Schulzentrum" stop. They run less often, but take a more direct route to the main train station and the city center.
Housing types & rental prices
The student residence "Simmerner Straße" offers a total of 213 living spaces, many of them in single apartments. There are also flat shares for 2 and 3 people as well as wheelchair accessible rooms.
Rental prices:
- Single apartments (18 to 30 m²): 385 bis 435 Euro (depending on size)
- Flat shares(12 to 25 m²): 335 bis 385 Euro (depending on size)
- Deposit: 800 Euro
The price includes car parking spaces, water and energy costs, hall cleaning as well as internet flat rate (LAN). There is a usage fee for the washing machines and tumble dryers in the shared laundry room.
The ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio broadcasting fee is not included in the price. This must be paid separately by each resident to the relevant authority. WG residents share the fees.

- Pantry kitchen with 2-plate stove, sink and refrigerator with 3* freezer compartment
- Shower/toilet or bath/toilet
- In shared flats: each flatmate has their own room, only communal areas are shared

Furnishings
The rooms and apartments are furnished with a desk with desk drawers and chair, a bed, a bookshelf, a storage chest and a wardrobe.
You should bring a mattress (200 x 90 cm), bedding, towels, dishes, cutlery and cleaning agents with you.
Move-in dates
There are two move-in dates each semester:
- Sommer semester: 1st of March and 1st of April
- Winter semester: 1st of September and 1st of October
