Educational approach
We see each child as an individual and self-educating being. The child is the constructor of its own development, and we act as co-constructors.
Our educational work is based on the situational approach. This means that the focus of our pedagogical work is on the recognisable and individual life situations of the children.
Our settling-in concept is based on the "Berlin Settling-in Model". The basis for this is a trusting educational partnership between parents, child and teaching staff. We try to respond to the individual needs of the families. During the settling-in period, the families have a permanent reference person at their side.
Catering
In our day care centre, we emphasize a healthy and balanced diet, both in terms of food and drinks. The meals we prepare ourselves are sugar-free. This means the complete avoidance of industrial sugar.
We prepare the healthy breakfast ourselves every day, and lunch is freshly prepared by a housekeeper every day. We pay attention to a balanced and child-friendly diet. Furthermore, we receive fresh fruit and vegetables as well as milk weekly from the European School Fruit and Vegetable Program.
We offer children from the age of 12 months the opportunity to get to know many different foods and dishes and to discover what they like. Eating together is an important communal experience for us. You can see the weekly menu in the hallway. For the children, we have an illustrated menu hanging in the dining room.
Registration
At the daycare centre on the RheinAhrCampus, we prefer to accept children of students and staff of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and University of Koblenz. Registration takes place via the daycare portal "Ahrlini" of the district of Ahrweiler.
